
Kawartha Country Wines wins the Bobcaygeon and Area Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Achievement Award
The Bobcaygeon and Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes Kawartha Country Wines at their annual Ceremony and Banquet
Bobcaygeon, ON April 29, 2012: John Rufa and Trish Dougherty of Kawartha Country Wines were awarded the Outstanding Business Achievement Award at last Saturday’s Bobcaygeon and Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala. With a wine selection including Elderberry, Kiwi and Red Currant and a broad range of gourmet preserves, vintner and winery owner John Rufa is pleased to be recognized for innovation.
“We’re very gratified to see that all the hard work and commitment we put into Kawartha Country Wines has been recognized”. Rufa also noted that they “were truly surprised and honoured to be recognized among such an esteemed group of entrepreneurs”.
Other nominees for this award were Edgetown Ford, Jermyn Lumber Ltd., City of Kawartha Lakes Economic Development and 1867 Confederation Log Homes. The award is presented annually based on the following criteria: product innovation and technological advancements, environmental leadership, marked increase in sales, sound business standards and ethics and increased employment to the town and area. The winery is located at 2275 County Road 36 and is open 7 days a week 10am-6pm.
